Looking around under the Fiction section of the library, you searched hard. You looked at the clock - one-thirty. It had already been half an hour since you started searching, but you still could not find the book you were looking for.
Sighing, you got up and walked over to the librarian. She smiled.
"May I help you with something?"
You smiled back weakly and asked, "Do you know where the book [favourite book] would be in this library?"
Thinking for a moment, the kind woman pointed to the section you had just been scrutinizing.
"It would be over there."
You sighed, thanked her, and walked out of the library. It had been a while since you had read the book and you wanted to read it again. You had your mind set on finding it, and you would.
Somehow.
Walking down the street, you noticed a bookstore that you did not ever notice in the past. It was small and in between a clothing store and a market. Entering the store, you heard a bell go off on the top of the door.
You gazed around the small little store and tilted your head. Maybe they would have the book here..?
Entering the store, you saw a few shelves of books. None of them were even close to the one you were searching for.
After searching a bit more and you were ready to give up, you felt the presence of someone next to you. Looking, you saw a man with blonde hair and blue eyes beside you. Blushing slightly, you waited for him to say something.
"Do you need help?"
He had a Swedish accent, which you thought was cute. His expression was blank.
"O-oh, um, I guess. Do you know if you have [favourite book] here?" you asked, blushing a bit. You watched as the tall, quiet man thought for a moment. Then he walked off, and you were not sure whether or not to follow. When he noticed you were not following, he turned and motioned for you to come. You nodded and walked behind him to another isle.
"It might be here." he said, motioning over to a shelf of books. You nodded, smiling.
"Thank you."
He nodded, leaving. You sighed lightly, starting to look through the tall shelves. It was a while before you pulled a book off a shelf and your face brightened. You finally found what you were looking for.
Grinning, you walked over towards the front of the store where the cashier was. The man looked at you and blinked. "You found it?"
You nodded happily. "Yes, after a while of searching for it! I'm so happy I finally got it." Your face was glowing with happiness, but soon turned red as you realized how weird you were being about it. "Oh. Sorry." you said bashfully, holding out the book so he could scan it. He did so, and the book rang to a reasonable amount. You took your wallet out and pulled out enough money to pay for it.
"Here you go."
The man started to count up the money and began to count change, but you stopped him. "Just keep the change, okay~?" If he couldn't tell, you were in a very good mood.
He nodded, slipping the book into a plastic bag.
For a moment, you stared at him. He was really handsome; his eyes were intense oceans of colour and he was really tall--
"You okay?"
You snapped out of it when you heard his voice, which was also hypnotizing. Too bad he didn't seem to speak very much.
"O-oh! Yes. Sorry." Blood rushed up to your cheeks as you took the bag with the book from him. After a moment, you decided to ask him for his name. "Um, what's your name?"
"Berwald." he replied after a moment, looking into your eyes. It was quite a unique name, or at least it was for you. Smiling, you fumbled with the plastic bag, poking little holes in it with your fingers.
"I'm ______." you said. After a moment, you started to walk out of the bookstore.
"Thanks for coming." you heard him say, and you smiled.

After that day, you began to go back to the bookstore when you had spare cash. It was just so nice there; it was in a quiet spot in the town and they had books that you were interested in. Not all of them were for you, but you did buy a lot of books from there.
However, another reason why you went there was to talk to Berwald. Yes, you had developed a bit of a crush on the Swedish man. He didn't really speak much, but you would talk to him about different kinds of books that you read. He was actually quite interested in books, himself, though not as interested as you.
"So, I recommend reading this book before going to sleep because it's really calm, and then this one when looking for some action." you explained, standing next to Berwald and holding up two books, one in each hand. He nodded.
"I've read that one." he said, motioning to the one that had more action.
"Oh. Then you should read this one!" you said, happily holding the more calm one higher. He nodded at you, the ghost of a smile on his face.
Every moment that you spent with the Swedish man brightened up your day. You two got along well and became great friends in no time.
Glancing at your watch, you sighed. "I have to go now, but I'll talk to you again soon!" you said to him, beginning to leave the bookstore. He nodded, watching you leave.
For the next few days you were buried in schoolwork. It was quite tedious and you were sad that you didn't have time to go to the bookstore. However, this happened once in a while, so you decided to just get the work done with. On the weekend, you headed into town. The sun was shining and it was the perfect Saturday afternoon.

Making your way down the street, you headed towards the bookstore. It was only a few minutes before you arrived at your destination. However, something was wrong.
The door to the bookstore was shut and there was a sign placed over the window. Stepping closer to read it, you gasped.

Foreclosed.

W-What? But I was going to talk to--

"_______."

You turned and saw the blue-eyed man, standing behind you. Blinking, you stared up at him and frowned. "What happened to the bookstore?" you asked him.

"The manager couldn't afford to keep it. I'm sorry."

"Oh."
"I had a feeling you would come here, so I came to tell you."

You nodded. "Thanks for letting me know." You were quite bummed about it; that was one of your favourite places to go!
It was silent for a moment. Then he looked at you and looked as if he was about to say something. You tilted your head as he took a moment to gather his thoughts.

"_____, I was wondering something."

"Huh? What is it?"
He blinked and looked into your eyes. "Would you like to go to a diner with me for lunch?"

Silence for a moment as you pondered what he just asked.
D-Did he just ask me...on a date?

"O-Oh. Sure, Berwald. Though, I would have to stop home to get money."

"I can pay."
Smiling up at him, you took his hand. "Okay, I'd love to!"
He nodded and held your hand, a small smile on his lips.
Hello, everyone!
This was a SwedenxReader story that I wrote for :iconigvan: for their birthday, but that was in the beginning of October - OTL.
:iconotlplz:
I fail so much at time-mastery. I get really lazy sometimes.
Ugh.

Actually I just fail at writing.
Pfff---
This idea was kind of lame. :iconohnoesplz:
So, :iconigvan:, if you didn't like it, you can ask for another one. x'D

If I made any errors, please let me know!

EDIT:
Oh yeah, and I didn't put in his accent, because I don't know what a Swedish accent is like.. :I
